It is the intention of Wrekin Products Ltd to Wrekin Products Ltd. (trading as Geoworks) minimise any negative impacts of our operations on the local community while actively identifying opportunities to enhance our positive contribution.
Wrekin Products Ltd. (trading as Geoworks) takes pride in operating to recognised environmental standards, including ISO 14001, and in maintaining a zero-to-landfill approach wherever practicable. Within this framework, the way we operate at our sites is of critical importance. We are committed to training and educating our employees to comply with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements, and company policies. These measures help to ensure that our activities minimise disturbance to our neighbours and the surrounding environment.
Our operational processes are designed with consideration for the needs of our neighbours, visitors, and the wider natural environment. We maintain systems that allow stakeholders to raise concerns should they believe our activities have caused a negative impact. All feedback is reviewed and acted upon as part of our continuous improvement commitment in accordance with our management review system.
Wrekin Products Ltd. (trading as Geoworks) also seeks to make a positive contribution to the communities in which we operate. Where practicable, we aim to support the local economy by employing people from the local community, both through direct employment and indirectly through prioritising local sourcing. This approach includes, but is not limited to, waste management services, transport provision, security and cleaning services, maintenance and repair activities, and catering provision.
In addition, our community engagement and charitable activities are focused on supporting causes local to our operations. Examples include our involvement with Kids Village, the Canal & River Trust, and the National Forest.
Through these commitments, Wrekin Products Ltd. (trading as Geoworks) aims to act as a responsible neighbour and a positive contributor to the long-term wellbeing of the communities in which we operate.
