Nonwoven geotextile

MultiTrack NW

MultiTrack Nonwoven (NW) was developed for separation and filtration in a wide range of groundworks applications. MultiTrack NW has been manufactured using a unique thermal bonding process, the NW range has excellent filtration properties, making it ideal for use in a variety of construction applications including roads, car parks, coastal defences, and drainage systems.

Rolls of MultiTrack NW

MultiTrack is a thermally bonded or needle-punched nonwoven geotextile that offers many benefits in applications requiring separation, filtration, and drainage functions.

It delivers excellent durability and drainage function, in addition to its very high water flow capability, but it has reduced strength in comparison to a woven geotextile.

It can also be used for erosion control and to protect membranes from being punctured. Ideal for roads, car parks and drainage systems.

    Applications

    • Separating/strengthening layer under access roads and areas of hard-standing
    • Filter surround for trench drains
    • Separation to stop the intermixing of dissimilar soil layers
    • Filtration, allowing the flow of water whilst preventing the passage of soil

    Mini-rolls

Multitrack 1000 is also available in a range of mini-rolls and packs. Ideal for use on small construction and landscaping contracts, Multitrack mini rolls and packs provide contractors with a cost effective solution for small general purpose applications.

    Combined geogrid and geotextile

    Have you considered SX Composite?

Achieve time savings when acquiring materials and overall quicker installations, thanks to SX Composite, an all-in-one solution that performs as both a biaxial geogrid and a geotextile. SX Composite consists of nonwoven geotextile thermally bonded to our popular SX range of geogrid. It provides the functions of reinforcement, separation and filtration into one single product, rather than having to use two separate solutions, which offers significant savings.

    Mostyn Sea Wall Repairs

When gale force winds combined with high tides on Thursday 5th December 2013, the result was the worst storm surge to hit North Wales in years. A solution devised jointly by Atkins, Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited and Geoworks was agreed. Our geosynthetic products were used to aid the creation of a barrier against adverse weather.

    Old Colwyn Embankment Repairs

We were approached by Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited, and Atkins to advise on a suitable geotextile to go beneath rock armour as a heavy-duty separation and filtration layer. The geotextile would form part of the necessary repair work to Network Rail Wales’ embankment at Old Colwyn, Conwy. The project is one of a series of schemes along the North Wales coastline where we have supplied their Multitrack geotextile to Alun Griffiths (Contractors) Limited.
